Libraries Rock! 2018 Summer Reading Program

Looking for ways get the summer started on the right note? The Fargo Public Library has it covered with a summer of interesting and engaging events planned for all ages as part of the Libraries Rock! Summer Reading Program. This year’s program features a variety of special events, performances and activities focused on music and music-related topics in ways that will appeal to readers of all ages. The free program begins Monday, June 4, and runs through August 4. People of all ages are invited to participate by reading, attending events and earning prizes.

The children’s summer reading program features weekly storytimes, themed events and movies for children up to 12 years of age at all three library sites. A schedule of events, reading logs and activity sheets are available at all three library locations and online at http://fargond.gov/city-government/departments/library.

The teen program is for ages 11 to 18. Teens can come to the library to read and take part in special events offered each week. Book logs are available at each library location and a list of teen events is available at www.fargolibrary.org.

Adults are also invited to participate in the library’s summer reading incentive program. The adult program is designed to encourage grown-ups to explore all of the resources the Fargo Public Library has to offer. Area adults can read and listen to books, and attend programs for a chance to enter prize drawings. Reading logs are available at all three library locations so participants can keep track their reading and listening choices this summer.

To participate in the library’s reading incentive programs, pick up an official book log at any Fargo Public Library location beginning June 4; only children need to register to participate.

Fargo Public Library events are free and open to the public. Visit the library’s website at www.fargolibrary.org or the online calendar of events to find activities for all ages. A complete schedule of summer reading program events is available at all library locations and on the library’s website.

The Fargo Public Library’s Summer Reading Program is supported in part by the Friends of the Fargo Public Library.
